Colon cancer survivor Eddie Leigh on Montel Williams Tuesday
Colon cancer survivor Eddie Leigh and his wife Beth are featured on the Montel Williams show scheduled for airing Tuesday, March 25th. Eddie will tell the story of a missed diagnosis of colon cancer after having rectal bleeding for more than two and a half years.
Eddie, a motivational speaker, combines his cancer experience with humor to urge people to be screened for colorectal cancer and to pursue symptoms of colorectal cancer aggressively with colonoscopy no matter their age.
In telling us about his experience on the show, Eddie said,
This show will draw more attention to our disease! Hopefully, people will see the show and get screened! (By the way, on the show I do not have kind words about the sigmoidoscopy, the test that missed my tumor!)

Send a birthday reminder to a friend to be screened for colorectal cancer
Have a friend whose reached that fiftieth birthday?
Send an email greeting with a reminder to get screened for colorectal cancer.
The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy’s new site for the public makes it easy with a form that will send a personalized message from you to that person with average risk for colorectal cancer.
Swinging to music, Peter and Polly Polyp crash a birthday party with messages that
- found early colorectal cancer is 90 percent curable
- finding and removing polyps prevents colon cancer from ever happening
Show that you love them . . . tell them about colorectal cancer screening!
