Living with colorectal cancer is much more than medical tests and treatments. There will be times of worry and discouragement and times you want to celebrate a step forward with friends and family.
You may have worries about finances or insurance, concerns about meeting the expenses that are not covered by insurance. Being able to work during treatment or deciding when you can no longer work can be a major problem.
Support and encouragement from family, friends, and others living with colorectal cancer may help along the way. Sometimes you’ll want to seek out counseling from a professional.
And, all of us eventually will face the end of our lives, whether from colorectal cancer or from some other accident or illness. Being ready for that time — for ourselves and for our loved ones — can make the experience easier and even specially meaningful.
