Fight CRC has added Anna Zachary to the team as Volunteer Coordinator. In this new role, Zachary will guide, train and equip volunteers located all over the U.S. who want to get involved in the organization. Since the launch of One Million Strong in 2011, the organization has received hundreds of requests for volunteer duties. Volunteer opportunities at Fight CRC include working and hosting events, supporting administrative tasks, distributing patient resources and participating in surveys and focus groups.  Fight CRC added the new position to enhance and expand the volunteer base in local communities. To show a commitment to advocates, Zachary will be the dedicated contact working out of the Springfield, Mo. office that will train and match volunteers with ongoing activities.
Fight CRC provided me the ideal opportunity to broaden my understanding of the nonprofit field," said Zachary. "Since the Volunteer Coordinator position is new, I look forward to the leadership opportunity with a mission so worthwhile. I hope to increase awareness throughout the U.S., solidify communication between staff and volunteers and be a valuable asset to the Fight CRC team.
Zachary comes to Fight CRC with a wealth of nonprofit experience. In prior roles she coordinated local volunteers on a variety of projects.
Volunteers are a big part of our mission and we are delighted to have a dedicated volunteer coordinator focused on ensuring we support their efforts," said Anjee Davis, president at Fight CRC. "Anna has a heart for volunteer management and we are excited to see how this will grow our grassroots efforts across the country.”
Volunteers may sign up anytime and will receive ongoing communication about news and events happening both locally and nationally each month. To get involved, sign up for updates or explore current volunteer opportunities.
