C3 President Carlea Bauman, Congressman Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), and C3 Director of Research Communication Kate Murphy
C3: Colorectal Cancer Coalition wrapped up the 2009 Call-on Congress with a Congressional briefing on Capitol Hill. C3, along with our partner the Prevent Cancer Foundation, held a briefing on Capitol Hill for Members of Congress, staff and the many advocates who made their way to Washington, DC.
Attendees of the briefing had a chance to hear from C3 President, Carlea Bauman, Patient Advocate Kate Murphy and Member of Congress Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) about HR 1189, The Colorectal Cancer Prevention, Early Detection and Treatment Act.
C3 thanks the many advocates from all around the country for their dedication to fighting colorectal cancer. Their voices were heard loud and clear in our nation’s capitol that this disease is preventable, treatable and with our continued fight…BEATABLE!
