Change Policy

be an advocate fight crc

At Fight Colorectal Cancer, our advocacy efforts use the voices of those touched by colorectal cancer to change policy. By definition, advocacy is pushing for policy change that benefits a cause. Anyone can be an advocate.

We want our advocates to be confident in their abilities to share their stories, meet with legislators and push for improved policy. To build this confidence, Fight Colorectal Cancer offers tools to advocate on national and local levels.

We’re here to lead a growing network of colorectal cancer advocates who believe in making a difference. We know that it’s critically important that we bring political attention to the needs of colorectal cancer patients. Get involved with us and let’s make colorectal cancer a national priority.

Anyone can be an advocate.  By joining an effort to stay informed, you can help ensure that budgets, laws, policies, services, and practices help to serve colorectal cancer patients and support research funding that is vital in the search for a cure.  Here are a few steps to get you started:
We have the tools for both rookies and pros when it comes to advocacy.

Patients should have access to treatments that are safe and effective in saving or prolonging their lives. To better understand our agenda, review:
As our capstone event, Call-on Congress trains grassroots advocates and assembles them in Washington, D.C. so they can lobby Congress and share stories. Our next Call-on Congress will be in March 2015! Stay tuned for dates and details. To read blog recaps about our 2014 event, go here.
