What a year! Check out these pages to see what this campaign accomplished in 2014!

march-colon-cancer-sandyWe kicked off the campaign in NYC again. We hosted an all-day educational event in Vanderbilt Hall and had a “march” down 43rd street to Times Square where we rang the closing bell at NASDAQ. Couples renewed their vows. Country star Craig Campbell joined us, as well as fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo. At the end of the evening, our Blue is the New Black party didn’t only celebrate the day but it raised funds for colorectal cancer.

PORTLAND – APRIL 12portland-one-million-strong-march

Our first West Coast One Million Strong event kicked off with a bang thanks to all the hard work from our staff, the Steve Baker Colorectal Cancer Alliance, along with many others.  The event began with our second ever One Million Strong March, which had a  police vehicle and marching band leading the procession and was  followed by a lively group of advocates – you couldn’t miss us! This fun-filled day full of colorectal cancer advocacy included  Zumba and  freestyle dance parties, while DJ O.G. One spun the latest hits.  Additionally, there were acrobats, several booths with games, prizes and giveaways all there to help bring awareness to colorectal cancer.
