Since 2005, Fight Colorectal Cancer (formerly C3: Colorectal Cancer Coalition) has

  • Advocated for better policy on Capitol Hill and at federal research agencies
  • Provided support for patients
  • Offered resources for families and medical professionals, and
  • Directly funded cutting-edge research

We won’t stop fighting until there’s a cure for colorectal cancer.

When you donate, you are investing in our ability to aggressively pursue lifesaving initiatives that include research and legislative advocacy, a clinical trials matching service, and educational programs that help patients and their families make the best decisions for themselves.

Some of our recent successes:

  • Worked with congressional leadership to secure funding for colorectal cancer research through the Department of Defense (DoD). This victory was the first time DoD had ever funded colorectal cancer research after two decades of funding other cancers.
  • Worked with Members of Congress on the introduction of the Fight Colorectal Cancer Stamp Act; legislation that would ensure that funding for life-saving federal colorectal cancer research programs would be sustained through tough financial times.
  • Directly funded four young researchers examining new treatments for late stage disease.
  • During the health care debate, worked with Congress and the Administration on provisions affecting colorectal cancer patients, such as elimination of pre-existing condition exclusions, protections from annual and lifetime insurance limits, increased reimbursement for clinical trial participants and increased screening coverage.
  • Endorsed and work for passage of legislation that would create a national colorectal cancer screening program.
  • Helped countless patients and caregivers get the information they needed to make decisions about their own care through the Answer Line, website, printed newsletter and patient webinars.
