Thank you for joining us for the 2nd Annual Lafayette Get Your Rear in Gear event. All participants will receive a dri-fit running shirt and goodie bag as well as complimentary door prize entries.

Refreshments, food, and DJ services will be provided so come out and dance a little and enjoy some great Cajun food while helping to fight colorectal cancer in Louisiana.

Additional Get Your Rear in Gear events are planned during March Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month:

More events are planned for the Twin Cities, Chicago, Rochester MN, Colchester VT, Central Minnesota, Central Ohio, San Francisco, and Alexandria VA throughout the rest of 2009.

Rear in Gear events don’t necessarily have to be races or walks.  Anything that promotes colon cancer awareness can be developed into a community event.  Here’s more information about starting your own activity. Funds raised in a state are re-invested there to promote awareness, prevention, and screening or can be sent to the Colon Cancer Coalition to support the national organization.
