About Colon and Rectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer (colon and rectal cancer) is the second-leading cause of cancer death in the United States. There are over one million colorectal cancer survivors in the U.S. Although it’s a common cancer, it’s also a preventable cancer. Proper colon screening can reduce or eliminate the risk of colon cancer occurrence. Anyone age 50 or older, those experiencing symptoms of colon cancer or individuals with a family history of colon or rectal cancer need to consult with a medical professional about colon screening.
