<description>I am a physician in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital. I find it repulsive that our patients are waiting over one year for a colonoscopy for even significant clinical finding such as blood in stools, iron deficient anemia, chronic abdominal pain, chronic diarrhrea and chronic constipation. For screening colonoscopies, we cannot even provide them. This is an outrage when we are talking about the money we spend in other health and non-health related arenas!

<description>Colorectal cancer is a killer. More needs to be done to improve screening, especially among the more vulnerable of our population.
