Conferees Announced

Posted by Joe Arite on February 10th, 2009

The Senate and House have chosen their individual conferees to work out the differences between the two versions of the Stimulus package.

As I mentioned earlier the Senate passed their $838 billion bill this afternoon. Included in the package is $10 billion in funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Conference is expected to move fast. House and Senate leaders would like to have a compromised bill worked out by tomorrow.

Conferees:

House
Dave Obey (D-WI)
Charlie Rangel (D-NY)
Henry Waxman (D-CA)
Jerry Lewis (R-CA)
Dave Camp (R-MI)

Senate
Max Baucus (D-MT)
Thad Cochran (R-MS)
Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
Daniel Inouye (D-HI)
Harry Reid (R-NV)
