Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month Recognized in Congress

Posted by Joe Arite on March 30th, 2009

Earlier today, the House of Representatives passed H. Con Res. 60, recognizing March as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. The resolution was introduced by Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX) and Congressman Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) and marked the tenth anniversary of the first colorectal cancer awareness month.

C3: Colorectal Cancer Coalition and our Cover Your Butt campaign were also recognized in the bill. C3 would like to thank Representatives Granger and Kennedy for their continued leadership on colorectal cancer issues in Congress. We look forward to continuing to work with their offices in order to make colorectal cancer screenings and treatment available to all Americans.
