Lisa Dubow, a founder of Fight Colorectal Cancer, was 42 years old when she was diagnosed with stage III colorectal cancer which later recurred. She credited cutting edge research and clinical trials with helping her survive her diagnosis for nine years before her death on July 24, 2007.
In 2006, Lisa worked with the Fight Colorectal Cancer to create the “Lisa Fund.” The fund supports researchers who are dedicated to developing treatments for patients with late stage colorectal cancer. From 2006 to 2011, we donated $150,000 in grants for late stage research. Our plan is to more than double that amount by 2013.
