<description>While exercise improved the chances that stage III colon cancer patients would not experience a recurrence, it did not eliminate the risk altogether. Even with exercise, patients had about a 15% chance that their cancer would spread to other organs within three years.

<description>I had stage 3 colon cancer in 98 with resection followed by 6 months 5fu chemo. Last year I presented with a 3x5&quot; tumor in my pelvic region adjacent to the anastimosis and hundreds of mets to the lungs. I walked almost every day following surger for 30 minutes at 4 mile/minute pace. I had about 25% body fat and am now 59 years old.

Prognosis: Not very good.

<description>I currently have colon cancer on my liver and lung. I am on chemo and I excercise fairly often, usually Mor-Fri. I usually 15-20 min on the treadmill and then the bike. What exercies routine would you recommend? I also do some upper body routines such as bench, curls etc.
Chemo is making progress but very slow, it has shrunk 1/4 inches over 2.5 months of treatment every other week
Any suggestions on exercise would be greatly appreciated.
I had a colostomy 2.5 years ago for colorectal cancer.
Thanks,
George Dobbelaere
