Cuts for a Cause – Profile Barber Institute Gives Back

Rodrick Samuels is a motivation to many across the U.S. Not only does he run and own Profile Barber Institute and serve as a well-known professional in the personal appearance industry, Rodrick’s also a passionate advocate in the fight against colorectal cancer. On March 21, Rodrick combined his passions and hosted a fundraising event, “Cuts for a Cause,” at Profile Barber with his students. As students styled hair, customers paid… but on this day, all proceeds were donated to Fight Colorectal Cancer. At the end of the day, Rodrick and his students raised more than $200 and donated them to go toward colorectal cancer awareness, research and advocacy.  During Cuts for a Cause, Samuels

Today we want to tell our advocates how much we LOVE you. Check out which candy heart messages our staff and some of our board members would give each of you… VANESSA KURTZER – ANSWER LINE ASSOCIATE The word I give our advocates is “Hero.” NANCY ROACH – FOUNDER & CHAIR OF THE BOARD The word I give our advocates is “Gratitude.”   The thing that I think when I see what our advocates are doing is GRATITUDE.  APPRECIATION.  THANKFULNESS.  I’m very proud that we’ve given our advocates a way to speak out and act PRODUCTIVELY – they aren’t just ranting and raving but they’re actually doing things that make a difference. 

Fight CRC Hits NYC — Summertime Planning Updates

One Million Strong is a MOVEMENT uniting those impacted by colorectal cancer. And last week – Fight Colorectal Cancer was on the MOVE. Check out what was happening amongst some of our team members as they hit New York City! Planning One Million Strong: NYC 2014 Anjee Davis, VP of Programs, and Emily White, Program Coordinator, got the wheels in motion for next year’s One Million Strong event in New York City. They met with event planning specialists at Studio PR to get the creative juices flowing. We’re excited to make next year’s event even bigger and better!
