Blue Star States Campaign Turns Country “Blue” For Colon Cancer

This year, we teamed up with our friends at Colon Cancer Alliance to turn all 50 states blue and recognize March as National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Volunteers across the nation took on the challenge and successfully received proclamations from 46 of the 50 states plus two state-issued letters, declaring the nation nearly all blue. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Apr. 1, 2014 - ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Advocates from every state in the U.S. raised their voices this year as part of “Blue Star States,” a campaign by Fight Colorectal Cancer and the Colon Cancer Alliance seeking to have every state issue a proclamation designating March 2014 as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
