Senate Ends Debate on Stimulus

The Senate voted 61 – 36 to end debate and vote on the $838 billion stimulus package. Final passage is expected to be voted on Tuesday. Senate Increases NIH Funding in Stimulus

Last night the Senate approved an amendment offered by Senators Harkin and Specter which raised the level of funding ($3.5 billion) already provided to the NIH in the stimulus package by $6.5 billion.
