Jeff's story

At the time, I was teaching and coaching at a local high school. The doctor called and shared the news with my wife that I had colon cancer and also rectal cancer.

When I got home, she shared the news with me, and we immediately started to develop a plan on how to share this news with our two daughters and the rest of the family.

Side effects

Side effects included fatigue, bowel irregularities, mouth sores, pain, neuropathy, hand-foot syndrome, and chemo brain.

Jeff's Advice

Get screened. Do not wait. The earlier it is found, the better chance you have of beating it.

Try to remain positive and believe that you will get on the other side of this terrible disease. Even through all the pain, sickness, and agony, believe that you will get through it and that there is no other option than to fight with all you have.
