Apply to be a Catalyst State

The 2025-2026 application process for the Catalyst State-by-State Advocacy Program is open from August 19, 2024 – September 20, 2024. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be a part of colorectal cancer policy change in your state!

The Catalyst Program Fight CRC supports grassroots activities and coalition-building at the state level that will lead to legislative and policy changes to advance colorectal cancer screening. We aim to foster a community of colorectal cancer champions across states to troubleshoot challenges and share best practices.

Program Goals

The Catalyst Program supports policy efforts that may range from passing legislation at the state level to working with major payors or employers in the state to provide coverage for screening. This can include:

  • Removing patient out-of-pocket costs for follow-up colonoscopies following a positive non-invasive colorectal cancer screening exam
  • Securing state funding for colorectal cancer screening
  • Increasing access to colorectal cancer screening for the un- and underinsured
  • Get creative! Additional “big P” or “small p” policies to increase access to colorectal cancer screening may be considered
