Kate Ueland, MS, RD

Research Dietitian, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

Kate Ueland is registered dietitian, with a specialization in oncology nutrition, primarily consulting with breast cancer patients throughout treatment and survivorship at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Seattle, WA. She is also an assistant professor at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA where she also serves as the Director of the Master of Nutrition – Didactic Program in Dietetics. She is a team member for Cook for Your Life at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in Biochemistry and her master’s degree from Bastyr University in Nutrition. Her research interests are in prevention and survivorship of cancer especially in breast and ovarian cancers and sports nutrition. She enjoys the outdoors and is an avid climber. She also enjoys yoga and spending time with her family and friends cooking and sharing adventures throughout the world.

What is your favorite media binge over the last year? I have been loving Aria Code a podcast all about opera arias.
