Carrie is eager to join the Fight Colorectal Cancer board, having lost both family and friends to the disease and knowing far too many currently fighting. Carrie wants to help change the trajectory of this preventable disease.

Carrie has been a leader in the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years. She is the Founder of Shift Gears, which provides leadership and strategy to corporations and nonprofits to optimize their organizational goals.

For the past eight years, Carrie’s focus has been on creating a world without cancer through her leadership and development efforts at Pedal the Cause. Passionate in her vision, and unstoppable in her efforts to galvanize a community towards a common goal, Carrie’s leadership has made an important impact in the advancement of cancer research. Since its inception in 2010, Pedal the Cause has raised over $24 million to fund innovative cancer research at its world-class beneficiaries, the Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Culver-Stockton College and a Master of Science in Sports Management from Western Illinois University. She is also a graduate of Focus St. Louis CORO Women in Leadership.

Carrie, along with her wife Carissa and their four-year-old daughter Gwendolyn, recently relocated to the greater Boston, Mass. area.
