Emily joins Fight CRC with a love for advocates and a passion for the fight against colorectal cancer. A familiar face for many, Emily re-joined Fight CRC as the Communications Assistant in September 2019 after formerly serving as the Advocacy Manager from 2013-2017.

Emily graduated from the College of Charleston in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, as well as a certificate of completion from the Honors College. She began working for Fight CRC the week after graduation and was honored to be part of an organization making a lasting impact on health policy and patient education.

During her time as Advocacy Manager, she executed plans for Call-on Congress, oversaw the Grassroots Action Committee, and worked closely with the Congressional Advisory Committee and Policy Consultant. Her favorite accomplishment was empowering advocates to share their stories and policy asks with Congress. She is excited to return in a new role as the Communications Assistant and looks forward to putting her grammar OCD to good use.

In her spare time, she enjoys drinking coffee, wearing fuzzy socks, and working on her home décor booth at a local vintage market. Emily currently resides in Swansboro, NC with her husband, David; their son, Luke; and their dog, Lilly.
