Juilenne Edwards

Grassroots Advocacy Manager

Julienne joined Fight Colorectal Cancer in August 2017 as the Grassroots Advocacy Manager. As a stage IV colon cancer survivor herself, she understands the patient experience and the tremendous fortitude of colorectal cancer survivors. At Fight CRC, she oversees advocacy initiatives including the August Recess Challenge, Blue Star States, and Call-on Congress. She works out of her home office in Baltimore County.

Julienne received her Juris Doctor at the University of Miami School of Law, where she also earned a Masters of Music Business and Entertainment Industries. After her diagnosis and treatment in 2015, she practiced law in Maryland and volunteered with cancer advocacy organizations such as American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, National Coalition of Cancer Survivorship and Critical Mass. Her story has been shared by Vox.com, Forbes Japan, the Baltimore Sun, the Washington Post and various local news outlets in Baltimore and Washington D.C. Julienne also sits on the Patient and Family Advisory Council at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she was treated.

“Fight CRC provides critical resources and information that I have used as a patient, and I am so proud to be joining this team. My time as a volunteer advocate has shown me how important it is to engage survivors and their communities with meaningful advocacy opportunities. Fight CRC has programs that do exactly that and I can’t wait to lend my own fighting spirit to their efforts.”
