Michele joined Fight CRC in August 2016 as a Patient Education Assistant. She assists Michell Baker with One Million Strong and helps initiate relationships with outside organizations. Michele lost her mom to colon cancer in June 2013, and is committed to raising awareness and supporting patients and caregivers. She had the privilege of speaking at Relay for Life events around Los Angeles, sharing her experience as a caregiver and encouraging people to get screened.

After graduating from the University of Southern California with a BA in Philosophy, she spent a year serving with AmeriCorps in South Florida. In addition to her role at Fight CRC, Michele is also a Community Health Worker for Carilion Clinic, where she addresses the social determinants of health and helps increase access to healthcare in low-income communities. She is based in Roanoke, VA.
