Fight CRC's 2020 Impact Report

hero symbol

None of us expected 2020 to look like this, am I right?

Colorectal cancer didn’t stop because of COVID-19. In fact, it made things more complicated, isolating, and concerning for patients and families. For anyone who has faced loss because of COVID-19, cancer, or any other cause in 2020, our team is here for you.

No one fights alone.

We are relentless champions of hope. From the bottom of my heart, I hope this note encourages you. We have never been more committed and fired up to help our community. This year’s challenges have shed light on the most critical needs patients face and how Fight CRC can help. From funding innovative research, convening global leaders, catalyzing conversations about health disparities, expanding advocacy efforts into the states, and providing education to answer patients’ questions…we’ve stepped things up this year. We believe education, advocacy, and research won’t only change lives, but save lives.

  1. I don’t want to have a colorectal exam. I have a fear of doctors and I am scared of something to go wrong. I am 54, and never had one yet. I am having no symptoms, nor have I had anything in pain. What should I do?

    1. Hi, William! Fear of doctors and screenings is normal, but going in to get screened could save your life. There are also non-invasive tests you can do at home, which may be an option for you. Try talking to your doctor about your options because colorectal cancer is preventable with screening.
