Biomarkers–What You Need to Know

December 16, 1pm EST

Did you have to Google what a “biomarker” is? If so, you’re not alone. Be sure to register for this webinar, so you can learn more! Join us to find out what you need to know about biomarkers, and how getting them tested can provide insight as to which treatment options may be best for you.

In case you missed them, we had two webinars in November:

Your Guide in the Fight Resource Meetups

Fight CRC’s Your Guide in the Fight Resource Meetups are free online gatherings for people affected by CRC who are seeking access to resources and peer-to-peer support.

This month, Your Guide in the Fight meetups will take place on Dec. 9, 2021, at 12pm EST and Dec. 21, 2021, at 4:30pm EST.

Whether you have just been diagnosed, are receiving treatment, or are supporting someone who is facing CRC, these meetups are a safe and reliable place to talk to people who have similar experiences to yours while learning about resources available to you from Fight CRC and partners alike. No one fights alone.

Ambassador Joe Bullock shares his story and includes helpful information from the survivor perspective for those interested in how genetics play a role in CRC diagnosis, as well as how he seriously he takes awareness about family history.

Ambassador Kimberly Holiday-Coleman walks us through the true meaning of resilience and describes how powerful your perspective can be in the fight against CRC.

Research Updates

Take part in a study investigating the relation of childhood adversity, pain, and fear of cancer recurrence. Participation involves completing a 30-minute online survey from your home computer.

Our Early-Age Onset (EAO) Research Workgroup is taking action to understand why rates of colorectal cancer are increasing rapidly among patients under age 50. Beginning in 2019, Fight CRC convened a group of global experts, including researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates to work together in the effort to understand the causes of EAO CRC and improve care for EAO CRC patients.
