This is an at-home stool test that looks for abnormal sections of RNA (ribonucleic acid) in the stool in addition to traces of blood. This test is ordered by a physician, and includes detailed instructions on how to use the test and return it for analysis.

- Repeat every 3 years, if normal
- No bowel prep
- Screening tests must be covered by insurance
- Can help detect cancer and precancerous polyps, but cannot remove them. Abnormal test results must be followed up with a diagnostic colonoscopy within 90 days.
