Nichole Hyde will serve as the Business Manager for the recently-relocated office based in Springfield, Mo. Dan Canfield, MPH, joins the team to manage the Research Advocacy Training and Support (RATS) program. “These two new hires will help Fight CRC keep up with the tremendous growth we’re seeing and serve the eager advocates wanting to get involved in our organization,” said Anjee Davis, president of Fight CRC. Hyde will use her 10 years of healthcare accounting experience to manage the Fight CRC office operations and oversee employee benefit and organizational accounting. "I am looking forward to being involved in the cancer community and I am ready to fight for a cure!" said Hyde. Canfield’s experience in public health and passion for cutting-edge research will support the patient education and research team. His role showcases Fight CRC's high commitment to research and research advocacy. Prior to joining Fight CRC Canfield worked for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Institute for Health Research and Policy (IHRP) at the University of Illinois Chicago and Columbus Regional Hospital. Canfield is based in Denver, Colo. and will work closely with Andrea (Andi) Dwyer, Dir. of Health Promotions. As Research Advocacy Manager he will provide programming and support to the research advocates and ensure the information distilled to the patient community is credible and relevant. “I want to do my part towards the fight against cancer in hopes that some day people won't have to watch their best friend or family members suffer from this disease,” said Canfield. “I hope to help empower champions, change policies, push for better research, raise awareness and be one more person joining the One Million Strong! Hyde and Canfield will grow the Fight CRC staff to 11 members, many of which work virtually to meet the needs of advocates across the U.S. For more information about Fight CRC, visit FightCRC.org.
