Ben Cox joined us on the Hill for his first time three years ago as an advocate. He advocates alongside his mother Susan and brother Andrew on behalf of his late father, Randy Cox. Ben’s advocacy is seen both on and off the Hill. Check out how he infuses his passion for colorectal cancer into everywhere he goes – and especially the iRacing world.
I am someone who’s seen firsthand the awful effect of colorectal cancer. My dad Randy passed away from the disease. For the past three years, I’ve had the incredible experience of joining Fight CRC in Washington, D.C. for Call-on Congress.
It’s so important to me to carry the mission of Fight CRC with me in everything I do.
iRacing Comes to Life
I play a racing simulation called iRacing on which I race against tens of thousands of other “simracers” from around the world, including top talent from F1, NASCAR, and other series. I had the idea to use Fight CRC’s logos in the paint schemes I design for my team, proudly supporting an organization that has been at times like a second family to me.
Recently, my team recruited a driver who competes in a series that is professionally broadcast live on YouTube. I wanted to use it as an opportunity to raise awareness of the cause and hopefully make someone think about the issues surrounding colorectal cancer.
When I design my cars, it’s with the knowledge that my car is a rolling billboard that’s often spotted in videos and event streams. It’s an honor to see the Fight CRC logo on my cars!
iRace for Fight CRC!
Here are a few of the cars I’ve designed with the Fight CRC logo:
Raise Awareness from Anywhere!
Raising awareness is easy, and can be done anytime, anywhere. Be creative.
And, make sure to join me on the Hill in March for the 2017 Call-on Congress. It will change your life.
