Join the nationwide effort that's raising awareness of the disease and the need to be screened. Watch March 1 Live Stream Gather a group and join via your computer. Watch us kick off Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month from Times Square. Chief Medical Officer of American Cancer Society Dr. Rich Wender and Anjee Davis, president of Fight Colorectal Cancer, will present data about colorectal cancer. In the first 30 minutes celebrities and survivors will share personal connections to the disease and talk about the importance of screening. In the second half of the show, the six NCCRT 80% by 2018 National Achievement Award awardees of 2017 will be recognized. The show will broadcast from 2-3pm ET live from Hard Rock Cafe Times Square. If you're watching, join the online conversation at #80by2018 and #CRCCountdown. By registering you'll receive a link where you can engage in real-time Q&A. [button]RSVP for the life stream[/button] Share a Screening Story You know that colorectal cancer screening can save a life. That’s the idea behind the #80by2018 goal: to get 80 percent of eligible adults screened by 2018. From now until the end of March, post a screening story to break down the stigmas and educate people about their options. If you post before March 1, your story may be chosen and highlighted as part of the Countdown to 2018 event. Here’s a few ideas for a screening story: Explain your role in prevention Successes in your state, region or organization Patient story about screening Interview with a physician about importance of screening Create your content through a blog post, video or photo story. Post it online with the hashtag #ScreeningStory. Post anytime throughout March 2017. Get more details and ideas. Post a #StrongArmSelfie NASCAR driver Scott Lagasse, Jr. flexing a #StrongArmSelfie Whatever you do on March 1, get your team together (wear blue!) and post a #StrongArmSelfie picture from your institution's social media accounts. Show you're united in the fight, and together we are STRONG. On March 1, Fight CRC will kick off its annual awareness efforts and One Million Strong. We hope you'll join us and raise awareness during March 2017 - Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month! Not only does a #StrongArmSelfie show off your strength, but it joins your voice with others in this fight. [button]See all #StrongArmSelfie Posts[/button] Need Support?
