Webinars

Coping with the loss of a loved one is different for everyone, and grieving is an important part of the process. Join us for this important session as we invite Dr. Jana Lomax, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist; Eric Hausmann, Fight CRC board member and caregiver to his late wife; and Dr. Angela Nicholas, Fight CRC board chair and caregiver to her late husband to talk about navigating grief in the CRC space from the perspective of a mental health professional and those who have lived through it.

New Resource: Understanding Colorectal Cancer

Published in partnership with Patient Resource LLC, the newest edition of Patient Resource Colorectal Cancer Guide is now available. This new guide provides staging for both cancers of the colon and the rectum, as well as the various treatments available, including clinical trials. It also includes content about genomic and genetic testing to help explain how those results may influence treatment plans. Information about managing side effects and maintaining follow-up care is provided, and two survivors share their hopeful stories.

Research Updates

Rally on research: early-age onset colorectal cancer (eao crc)

In many countries around the world, patients under age 50 are fighting, some dying, of colon and rectal cancers. We all want to know why this rise in early-age onset colorectal cancer (EAO CRC) is happening, fully aware that for some, time is running out. Join Fight CRC and partners across the globe for an interactive two-day Rally on Research. Come engage with researchers, clinicians, and fellow patient advocates to build a path toward a cure for early-age onset colorectal cancer (EAO CRC). Registration is FREE because we need your voice at the table.

Research Feature: Common Data Elements

Fight CRC’s Early-Age Onset CRC Research Workgroup is taking action to understand why rates of colorectal cancer are increasing rapidly among patients under age 50. The group identified that studies are collecting data on potential risk factors in different ways, making it difficult to share data and make conclusions about the results. This pushed them to seek improvement by developing a common data elements tool that could be used across studies.

Telehealth Survey
