Claudette's Story

Being told that I have cancer was one of the most terrifying experiences in my life. So many questions rushed into my mind after I was told, Am I going to die? How did I get Cancer? What do I do now? How do I tell my family? What could I have done different?

Knowing that others are also in fight, lets you know you are not alone. It is my goal to help others who have the same questions I had when being diagnosed and let them know they are not alone. I also want to bring awareness about the importance of going to the doctor at the first sign that you know something is not right. Knowing what signs to look for and getting regular check up could prevent someone from getting this disease.

I want to make a change in the screening policy, I was diagnosed at 46 and if I received a colonoscopy sooner it may have prevented my cancer.

I want to be a part of something bigger than myself and for me that is Fight CRC. The Fight CRC team continues to find research on finding a cure and giving people hope after they have been diagnosed.

We are One Million Strong, we stand strong and fight hard for a cure.
