I had no prior symptoms and it presented as appendicitis but was actually was aggressive colon cancer that invaded all of my colon walls and ruptured my appendix. I initially had a resection and then a complete hemacolectomy. Over the course of two years, I had several surgeries, a staph infection, and eventually was only able to complete six months of chemotherapy. I have been in remission since first diagnosed in 2001. I am now 47 and celebrating 15 years of being cancer-free. Jacqueline's Advice A positive attitude can change anything.
