Esta beca de investigaci\u00f3n tiene como objetivo impulsar el progreso en la ciencia, la atenci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y la defensa de los derechos, centrada espec\u00edficamente en los pacientes con s\u00edndromes de c\u00e1ncer colorrectal hereditario, c\u00e1ncer colorrectal familiar y c\u00e1ncer colorrectal de aparici\u00f3n temprana (EAO CRC). <\/p>\n<p>El \u00abPremio a la Trayectoria Profesional Inicial\u00bb de 2023, otorgado conjuntamente por la CGA-IGC y Fight CRC, se concede al Dr. Alessandro Mannucci, del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Beckman. El trabajo del Dr. Mannucci se centra en el c\u00e1ncer gastrointestinal, con especial atenci\u00f3n a los s\u00edndromes de c\u00e1ncer hereditario y a los c\u00e1nceres de aparici\u00f3n temprana. El proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n premiado se centrar\u00e1 en \u00abun nuevo an\u00e1lisis de sangre que sea pr\u00e1ctico para el \u00e1mbito cl\u00ednico, rentable, f\u00e1cil de realizar para el paciente y sensible a la hora de detectar el c\u00e1ncer de colon de aparici\u00f3n temprana (EAO CRC)\u00bb.  <\/p>\n<p>Para 2030, el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal se convertir\u00e1 en la principal causa de muerte por c\u00e1ncer entre las personas menores de 50 a\u00f1os. Esta tendencia alarmante se ve agravada por el hecho de que entre el 5 % y el 10 % de los casos de c\u00e1ncer colorrectal tienen un componente hereditario, y hasta el 25 % de todos los casos de c\u00e1ncer colorrectal (CCR) se atribuyen a un alto riesgo familiar. Consciente de la urgente necesidad de abordar este creciente problema de salud, el Dr. Mannucci est\u00e1 liderando iniciativas de investigaci\u00f3n destinadas a mejorar la atenci\u00f3n que se presta a los pacientes con p\u00f3lipos colorrectales avanzados que presentan un mayor riesgo familiar de CCR.
