La beca de investigaci\u00f3n se conceder\u00e1 para impulsar la ciencia, la atenci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y la defensa de los pacientes con s\u00edndromes de c\u00e1ncer colorrectal hereditario, c\u00e1ncer colorrectal familiar o c\u00e1ncer colorrectal de aparici\u00f3n precoz. <\/p>\n<p>El Premio CGA-IGC y Fight CRC para investigadores noveles de este a\u00f1o se le ha concedido a Timothy Yen, profesor adjunto de Medicina en la Divisi\u00f3n de Gastroenterolog\u00eda y Hepatolog\u00eda del Grupo M\u00e9dico de la Facultad de la Universidad de Loma Linda. La investigaci\u00f3n de Yen se centra en la mejora de la calidad y la inform\u00e1tica en el contexto del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal y los c\u00e1nceres gastrointestinales hereditarios. La investigaci\u00f3n en la que se centrar\u00e1 con esta beca ser\u00e1: \u00abIntervenci\u00f3n integrada en la historia cl\u00ednica electr\u00f3nica para mejorar la comunicaci\u00f3n entre el profesional sanitario y el paciente sobre el riesgo de c\u00e1ncer colorrectal familiar en personas con p\u00f3lipos colorrectales avanzados\u00bb.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Hasta un 25 % de todos los casos de c\u00e1ncer colorrectal (CCR) se deben a un alto riesgo familiar.<\/strong>  Los antecedentes familiares de p\u00f3lipos colorrectales avanzados aumentan el riesgo familiar de padecer c\u00e1ncer colorrectal (CCR) de forma similar a los antecedentes familiares de CCR. El objetivo de la investigaci\u00f3n de Yen es mejorar la atenci\u00f3n a los pacientes con p\u00f3lipos colorrectales avanzados que presentan un mayor riesgo familiar de padecer CCR. Las l\u00edneas de trabajo futuras incluyen la ampliaci\u00f3n a varios centros, as\u00ed como a otros diagn\u00f3sticos de CCR de alto riesgo.  <\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abEstamos encantados de anunciar nuestra colaboraci\u00f3n con CGA-IGC en el Premio a Investigadores Noveles.
