La fundaci\u00f3n le ha pedido a Fight CRC que contin\u00fae con su labor llevando a cabo la campa\u00f1a en redes sociales #BlueKnots y proporcionando informaci\u00f3n y recursos a la comunidad negra sobre el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal. <\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abEn Fight CRC nos sentimos honrados de continuar con la misi\u00f3n de los Kiel colaborando con su comunidad de seguidores para reducir el n\u00famero de muertes evitables causadas por el c\u00e1ncer de colon a trav\u00e9s de iniciativas de educaci\u00f3n y sensibilizaci\u00f3n, fomentando h\u00e1bitos de vida saludables y apoyando la investigaci\u00f3n sobre el c\u00e1ncer de colon\u00bb. \u2014<\/em> Anjee Davis, presidenta de Fight CRC<\/p>\n<p>La presidenta de la Fundaci\u00f3n Kiel contra el C\u00e1ncer de Colon, LaTashia Kiel, y su marido, el director general George Kiel, fundaron la organizaci\u00f3n en memoria de la madre de George, Debra Kiel, que falleci\u00f3 de c\u00e1ncer de colon en 2014 a los 57 a\u00f1os. Cuando a Debra le diagnosticaron la enfermedad por primera vez, la familia se dio cuenta de que, en aquel momento, ninguna de las organizaciones dedicadas al c\u00e1ncer colorrectal llegaba a su comunidad.
