El evento tendr\u00e1 lugar en Movie Tavern, en Allentown (Pensilvania), el 11 de noviembre a las 18:30 h, y contar\u00e1 con la participaci\u00f3n como copatrocinadores de la secci\u00f3n Mu Pi Sigma de Sigma Gamma Rho Inc. y de la iglesia The Greater Shiloh Church de Easton. Denise Johnson, activista de Fight CRC, estar\u00e1 all\u00ed para compartir recursos y su historia personal.  <\/p>\n<p>Al igual que Boseman, a la hija de Johnson, Lauren Tatum, le diagnosticaron c\u00e1ncer colorrectal de aparici\u00f3n temprana (CCR-AE). A muchos j\u00f3venes adultos se les pasa por alto porque las pruebas de detecci\u00f3n no suelen empezar hasta los 45 a\u00f1os. A Tatum le diagnosticaron c\u00e1ncer colorrectal en estadio IV cuando solo ten\u00eda 25 a\u00f1os, tras a\u00f1os quej\u00e1ndose de dolores de est\u00f3mago. Los profesionales sanitarios la ignoraron hasta que ya era demasiado tarde. Falleci\u00f3 en 2021.    <\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abEs incre\u00edble que The Chocolate Sisters se hayan tomado este tiempo para poner de relieve la creciente necesidad de concienciar sobre el c\u00e1ncer de colon\u00bb,<\/em> dijo Johnson. <em> \u00ab\u00a1Tengo muchas ganas de compartir la historia de mi hija!\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Se prev\u00e9 que, para 2030, el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal sea la principal causa de muerte por c\u00e1ncer entre las personas de 20 a 49 a\u00f1os. Los afroamericanos tienen un 20 % m\u00e1s de probabilidades de padecer c\u00e1ncer colorrectal y un 40 % m\u00e1s de morir a causa de \u00e9l que la mayor\u00eda de los dem\u00e1s grupos. Las Chocolate Sisters y Fight CRC esperan crear conciencia a nivel local y educar a los j\u00f3venes sobre la importancia de conocer los s\u00edntomas del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal para que, en el futuro, se puedan salvar vidas como las de Boseman y Lauren.  <\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abCada una de las organizaciones participantes es una comunidad para la comunidad\u00bb<\/em>, dijo Lindsay Blair, coordinadora de marketing de The Chocolate Sisters. <em> \u00abEste evento no solo sirve para rendir homenaje a Chadwick Boseman, sino tambi\u00e9n para concienciar sobre una enfermedad que se ha llevado a tantos miembros de nuestra comunidad.
