Fight CRC actuar\u00e1 como asesor en la puesta en marcha del programa y se encargar\u00e1 de dar a conocer sus iniciativas y de informar a los pacientes al respecto. <\/p>\n<p>El \u00abDream Team\u00bb para la Equidad Sanitaria en el C\u00e1ncer Colorrectal del CRC se puso en marcha el 7 de octubre de 2021 con el objetivo de abordar las desigualdades en el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal y mejorar las pruebas de detecci\u00f3n en comunidades con escaso acceso a la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, gracias a una financiaci\u00f3n de 8 millones de d\u00f3lares destinada a un enfoque innovador e integral en colaboraci\u00f3n con investigadores de primer nivel, defensores de los pacientes, l\u00edderes comunitarios y profesionales cl\u00ednicos.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00abEstamos muy orgullosos de colaborar como socios comunitarios en este proyecto y de ayudar a que esta labor tan importante llegue a los pacientes\u00bb,<\/em> dijo Anjee Davis, presidenta de Fight CRC. <em>\u00abEsto encaja perfectamente con nuestro compromiso com\u00fan con la equidad en la salud y estamos encantados de apoyar los esfuerzos de SU2C para salvar vidas entre las personas m\u00e1s desfavorecidas\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>La Dra. Fola May, miembro de la junta directiva de Fight CRC, gastroenter\u00f3loga, experta en equidad sanitaria e investigadora de servicios sanitarios en el Centro para la Equidad Sanitaria de la UCLA Kaiser Permanente y en el Centro Oncol\u00f3gico Integral Jonsson de la UCLA, es una de las tres expertas seleccionadas para liderar la iniciativa. Ayudar\u00e1 al programa a establecer y poner en marcha programas integrales de detecci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal mediante an\u00e1lisis de heces en el domicilio en los centros de salud comunitarios, con el objetivo de aumentar las tasas de detecci\u00f3n hasta el 80 % en las zonas SU2C del \u00e1rea metropolitana de Boston, Los \u00c1ngeles y las comunidades tribales de las Grandes Llanuras en Dakota del Sur. <\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan un comunicado de prensa de SU2C, el proyecto tambi\u00e9n se encargar\u00e1 de \u00abgarantizar que los pacientes cuyos resultados en las pruebas de cribado de heces sean anormales se sometan a una colonoscopia de seguimiento; crear una colecci\u00f3n de muestras de sangre y heces para futuras investigaciones, con el fin de garantizar que las poblaciones con bajos ingresos y las minor\u00edas raciales y \u00e9tnicas est\u00e9n representadas en el desarrollo de nuevas pruebas de cribado y m\u00e9todos de detecci\u00f3n precoz del c\u00e1ncer colorrectal; y fomentar\u00e1 la carrera profesional de una nueva generaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9dicos e investigadores afroamericanos, latinos e ind\u00edgenas americanos que encarnan los ideales de compromiso con la comunidad, fomento de la confianza e investigaci\u00f3n sobre las desigualdades, con el fin de mejorar los resultados de salud de todos los pacientes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fight Colorectal Cancer (Fight CRC) se enorgullece de ser socio comunitario del \u00abDream Team\u00bb para la equidad sanitaria en el c\u00e1ncer colorrectal, una iniciativa reci\u00e9n lanzada por Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C).
