Comenz\u00f3 su carrera como enfermera de planta en una unidad m\u00e9dico-quir\u00fargica, pas\u00f3 a desempe\u00f1ar funciones directivas en un Servicio de Urgencias, se convirti\u00f3 en miembro del profesorado de su alma mater para impartir clases en su programa de Licenciatura en Enfermer\u00eda y, finalmente, pas\u00f3 a la Administraci\u00f3n de Enfermer\u00eda desempe\u00f1ando diversas funciones de liderazgo.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shannon es licenciada en Enfermer\u00eda por el St. John&#8217;s College of Nursing de Springfield, Illinois, y tiene un m\u00e1ster en Educaci\u00f3n de Enfermer\u00eda por la Southern Illinois University de Edwardsville, Illinois.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shannon es una superviviente de c\u00e1ncer de colon desde hace 25 a\u00f1os. Es esposa de Rodney Davis y orgullosa madre de tres j\u00f3venes adultos de \u00e9xito: Toryn, Griffin y Clark.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00abComo persona a la que diagnosticaron c\u00e1ncer de colon a los 26 a\u00f1os, comprendo la verdadera bendici\u00f3n que supuso descubrir mi tumor, recibir tratamiento y salir del otro lado. Habr\u00eda sido igual de f\u00e1cil que no me hubieran diagnosticado y no estar aqu\u00ed.
