Fight CRC Expert Workgroups

Research takes collaboration. It takes thought leaders, experts, and advocates working together to move research forward. When everyone is at the table, progress happens. That’s why Fight CRC creates workgroups dedicated to tackling the big questions.

Early-Age Onset Workgroup

The Early-Age Onset Colorectal Cancer (EAO CRC) Workgroup was created in response to the rise in incidence in young adult colon and rectal cancers. Experts involved include epidemiologists, biostatisticians, oncologists, and researchers from the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. The goal of the workgroup is to prioritize the research agenda and understand the best approaches towards understanding EAO CRC.

Immunotherapy Workgroup

Fight CRC also leads a colorectal cancer (CRC) immunotherapy (IO) workgroup full of experts and innovative thinkers from around the world. This workgroup convened in 2016 and, as a result, published a white paper on the next steps for CRC immunotherapy. The IO workgroup continues to meet twice per year to discuss priorities for CRC IO research.

Clinical Trials Curation Team

Fight CRC’s clinical trial curation team consists of research advocates, researchers, and immunotherapy workgroup members who help lead the Trial Finder. Our curation team ensures the Fight CRC Trial Finder consists of trials with a high chance for success, a low chance for failure, and is updated daily.
