Caregivers Stage III Colon Cancer Washington
Back to Champion Stories

Story: I came into my husband’s life six months into his colorectal cancer journey. When we met, he had recently completed radiation and chemotherapy, and he was waiting to hear back about his PET Scan. We knew from the start that we were a special couple. As our love grew, Bob fought valiantly! For a moment, he was given 'NED'; however, it was quickly robbed of us. I cared for Bob with all the love and compassion that I had, and I’d do it again! We married six days before he passed, December 29, 2019.

Advice: Caring for someone who is in a very vulnerable and humbling position is an honor. Take pictures and videos...lots of them. Enjoy every moment!
