The holiday season is here — a time of joy, but also a challenging season for many in the #colorectalcancer community. The holidays can bring reminders of those we've lost, the battles we're facing, and the uncertainties that come with this disease.

Grief doesn't always begin after a loved one passes. For many, it can begin earlier — sometimes with a diagnosis, or when changes in health become harder to ignore. This is known as anticipatory grief.

As a caregiver, Fight CRC Ambassador Kentisha Mazeke experienced the painful reality of watching her mom slowly deteriorate, carrying the weight of knowing what was coming but not knowing when.
