Colon - Stage IV |
Age at Diagnosis: 25
I was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in 2024. I went for a colonoscopy cause I was constipated and having some diarrhea. They found a tumor and I got surgery done to remove my whole right side of my colon (colon resection) and they said it was stage two. Well, I was referred to a oncologist and they said it was stage four because it metastasized to my liver. I was devastated. I got a port and then after two weeks I started chemo (folfox). I asked if liver surgery was possible and he said not right now. So I did a lot of rounds of chemo and my tumors were shrinking. Chemo was working so good. I had an appointment with my oncologist after 7 or more rounds of chemo and he said liver surgery was a go. This year in May I had a liver resection and I have one more round of chemo and a pet scan and then i’m NED!!
