Colon - Stage III |
Age at Diagnosis: 53
I turned the magic 50 in 2020 and they weren’t doing any elective things at the time. I saw my pcp a few other times and he reminded me to schedule my colonoscopy and I yessed him to death. In 2022, he asked me when my last one was and I admitted I had never had one. He wouldn’t let me leave until I scheduled it. Sure enough, I had a 4cm tumor. I felt fine. No pain, unchanged bowel habits, no blood. In October, I will mark 2 years after surgery and 12 rounds of chemotherapy. So far so good.
