Colon - Stage IV |
Age at Diagnosis: 51
I had started having pain in my lower abdomen and lower back. When I started having constipation, my doctor sent me for a colonoscopy. What was supposed to take about an hour, lasted almost five hours. My doctor told me immediately that I had cancer. I woke up to my husband telling me something was wrong. I had stage IV colon cancer.
I became NED with surgery and chemo. Don’t wait. The worst part about a colonoscopy is the prep, and it’s not that bad.
