Colorectal cancer is hard. It’s traumatic. But the fight can also be inspirational. Believe it or not,
sharing what you’ve been through might just be the encouragement someone else needs to face their fight
today. It can help you heal, too.

We encourage anyone with a colorectal cancer story to share. To get ideas of what others said, check

Our Federal Policy Manager is back with an important update on the Presidential budget request released last week. The request includes a recommendation to slash the CDC's Division of Cancer Prevention, which funds the CRC Control Program. It's crucial we reach out to our members of Congress to protect this funding.

We still have time to fight! Congress holds the power, and we need to raise our voices to ensure colorectal cancer stays a priority.🗣️ Visit the link in bio to take action TODAY.

"I have stage IVb recurring colorectal cancer.

I was first diagnosed at 38. I knew something was wrong, but all of my doctors said I was fine. That was until I had to go to the ER because I was suddenly anemic. I eat healthy, I don’t drink, and I work out but when they did a colonoscopy, they found the tumor. 10 rounds of chemotherapy, 4 surgeries, 5 rounds of radiation, and so much pain.

I went into remission but not even a year went by before I had the same symptoms. My primary doctor said it’s gastric and my gastroenterologist said it’s IBS. A CT scan and a colonoscopy failed to diagnose me. The cancer showed up in PET scan. Once again it is stage IV. The tumor is inoperable and only chemotherapy and radiation can help. This time there is a 5 % remission rate and only a 32% chance chemotherapy will work.

Unfortunately, the second time around, I’m more prepared and know what to expect. I’m only 40 years old now and can’t have children due to the cancer." - Rebecca Goins.
