Age at Diagnosis: 50

First, in November 2016, less than two months after my 49th birthday, my appendix burst. Then, I ended up in the hospital for a couple of days. In January 2017, I had my appendix removed and biopsied, which led to a colonoscopy.

At that time, I am told I have two tumors, which are marked for removal. On March 6, 2017, I had a right-side hemicolectomy. Finally, on April 21, 2017, they diagnose me with stage IV mets to the lungs. On February 21, 2020, I started my 42nd round of chemo.

Don’t put too much energy into statistics. Put it into hope.
