Rectal - Stage III |

Hi my name is Tammie. I kept having pains, blood in stool when having a BM. I thought was just hemorrhoids although I was losing weight and tired but just thought it was because I worked graveyard shift and was not eating properly.

My husband and I had planned a trip to England to visit his mum. I told him that I was going to a doctor to get things checked. So I got a referral to a gastrointestinal doc who told me they wanted to schedule a colonoscopy, after all I was 54 and had not had one.

Looking back I kept thinking something was not right. I recall a time driving to work and felt very tired, and when at work, I was having to go to restroom very often. Went in for the colonoscopy and woke up in a private room with my husband in there and the doctor said they found a mass he was quite sure was cancer. The “crap trip” began!
