"When I look back, I feel like cancer really delayed my ability, or my desire to become a father, because I had shifted my focus to I just want to survive." - @jeremydechols, Stage IV #ColonCancer Survivor.

Jeremy's diagnosis turned his life upside down and forced him and his wife to put their plans on hold. What they had once pictured happening in the near future was suddenly pushed further down the road. Like so many others facing cancer, his focus shifted from building a family to fighting for more time.

Cancer doesn't just impact your physical health—it changes your timeline. It interrupts milestones, alters relationships, and reshapes how you see the future.

Have you had to put life plans on hold because of #colorectalcancer? Share your experience below and let others know they're not alone.💙
Michael is alive today because of federally funded cancer research. The chemotherapy that treated his #colorectalcancer, FOLFOX, was developed through #clinicaltrials years before his diagnosis—and it saved his life.

Now, that progress is threatened. Forward funding @nihgov grants means fewer new trials, stalling breakthroughs that patients desperately need.

Research saves lives. Join the fight for more colorectal cancer funding today: fightcrc.org/takeaction
Did you know alcohol can increase your risk for #colorectalcancer?

According to cancer.gov, alcohol can:
- Mess with your hormones
- Increases oxidative stress that can damage your DNA
- Increase the amounts of carcinogens your body absorbs (similar to the ones in cigarette smoke!)

Drinking is often considered a large part of one's social life, but choosing not to doesn't mean missing out. Moderation matters (2 drinks per day recommended for men, 1 for women) and non-alcoholic drinks can still taste so good!

Still not convinced? Check out two of our favorite mocktail recipes in this fall's Beyond Blue magazine! You can order your copy today at the link in our bio.🍹Cheers to options that feel good and taste good.
