Age at Diagnosis: 33

It started with blood in the toilet and feeling off. Dr initially brushed off as hemorrhoids, I pushed for tests, and a colonoscopy revealed neuroendocrine carcinoma of the rectum. I was in my early 30s, a new dad, and active. Treatment began immediately: chemo, radiation, clinical trials, immunotherapy, and a major surgery that left me with a colostomy and urostomy. I’ve been through 9 lines of treatment and am still in active treatment with PRRT and Lanreotide. I stay motivated for my family and community and see cancer is part of my story, but it doesn’t define me.
